ASUS’ ProArt StudioBook One Laptop Manages To Pack A $4,000 NVIDIA GPU

Usually when it comes to GPUs in laptops, due mostly to the size, it would be near-impossible to fit a full-sized GPU into it. This usually means that most laptops with discrete GPU options are running a “mobile” version of the GPU, which means that it isn’t as powerful as its desktop counterpart.

However, if you needed an extremely powerful GPU while you’re on the go, ASUS might have you covered as the company has announced the ASUS ProArt StudioBook One, which the company is claiming is the most powerful StudioBook ever. Usually this might be read as marketing hyperbole, but in this case, they might be right as one of the key features of the laptop is the use of NVIDIA’s Quadro RTX 6000 GPU.

For those unfamiliar, the NVIDIA Quadro series is a GPU designed mostly for work applications, like 3D rendering, unlike its GeForce GPUs which are aimed more at gamers. It is also a very expensive GPU where it is priced at around the $4,000 mark. As for the rest of the laptop’s specs, we’re looking at the use of an Intel 9th Gen Core i9 processor and a 4K UHD Pantone Validated display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Given that this laptop is clearly designed for the working professional looking to do heavy tasks like rendering on the go, ASUS has also equipped it with a powerful cooling system with an aerospace grade titanium thermal module. The laptop has also been designed in such a way that when the hinge is open, it tilts the chassis by several degrees so as to maximize its inflow of cool air.

There is no word on just how much the ASUS ProArt StudioBook One will cost, but with its NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 GPU, we imagine that it will not come cheap.
