Survey Finds That Majority Of Users Are Not Excited By iOS 15

At WWDC 2021 earlier this month, Apple announced the next major update to its iOS platform in the form of iOS 15. Sure, the update will bring about a bunch of new features, introduce improvements to existing ones, but it seems that overall the excitement levels for iOS 15 seem to be pretty low.

This is according to a survey conducted by SellCell in which based on the 3,000 iPhone and iPad users, over 50% said that iOS 15 was either slightly or not at all exciting, with 28% saying that it was somewhat exciting, while the remainder 19% were either extremely or very excited by the upcoming update.

To be fair, not all updates have to be exciting as long as they bring about improvements to the way we use our phones. Plus we shouldn’t really expect a visual overhaul with every update, and with iOS 14 actually bringing quite a huge change with the inclusion of home screen widgets, we suppose iOS 15 seems a bit dull by comparison.

This doesn’t mean that iOS 15 won’t be a good update. In the past we’ve seen how some of Apple’s updates were highly anticipated only to fall short, so it’s probably better to get the important stuff right than to dazzle everyone, but what say you? Are you excited for iOS 15 or are you feeling a bit “meh”?
