LG’s 88-inch 8K OLED TV Is Now Available For Purchase If You Have $42,000 To Spare

A while back, LG took the wraps off an 88-inch 8K OLED TV. If for whatever reason you were hoping that you could buy this and put it into your home, you’re in luck because LG has since announced the availability of the TV, where interested customers will be able to buy one for themselves.

If you’re looking to futureproof yourself for the next few years, this TV could help with that. 4K content is still on the rise which means that by buying an 8K TV, you should be set for a while. 8K content is still pretty rare since there aren’t that many displays that support it yet, so there’s no real reason to buy one yet.

The TV will sport a resolution of 7680×4320 and will support HDMI 2.1, AirPlay 2, and HomeKit. Also for select markets, the TV will also come with Google Assistant or Alexa. According to Brian Kwon, LG’s president of the Mobile Communications and Home Entertainment, “The new 8K TVs show that LG is deeply committed to providing consumers with real 8K as defined by established display industry standards. LG 8K OLED and NanoCell TVs aren’t just TVs with more pixels, they also deliver all of our latest display technologies.”

If this has piqued your interest, then you might want to know that the TV will not come cheap as LG has priced it at a whopping $42,000.
