Over time as we connect to more WiFi networks, the need to remember those passwords is becoming less. However, there are times when we might need to recall that password, like if we’re trying to connect a new device or if someone asks for it. So the question is, how do we find that password?

If you’re Mac user, then check out the steps below for a pretty simple and straightforward way of finding the passwords of WiFi networks you’ve connected to in the past.

How To Find The WiFi Password On Mac

  1. Launch Keychain Access by typing it into Spotlight search (CMD + Space)
  2. Under Category to the left, select Passwords
  3. You’ll see a list of connections that you’ve connected to in the past on the right
  4. Double click the connection whose password you want to show
  5. Click the checkbox next to “Show password”
  6. You might need to enter System Admin login details
  7. Upon successfully logging in, the password of the network will show
