Intel’s 10th Gen Desktop CPUs Might Offer Better Multitasking

Just like most product releases, when Intel releases CPUs, there are a variety of options for customers to choose from, ranging from the low-end to the high-end, depending on their needs and their budget. As expected, going low-end usually means that you will need to “sacrifice” certain features in favor of a cheaper price.

However, the good news is that with Intel’s 10th gen CPU, it seems that the company could introduce hyperthreading across its entire lineup. This rumor comes from a couple of sources from Informatica Cero and VideoCardz, where Intel’s upcoming Comet Lake-S desktop CPUs, Hyperthreading will be a feature available across the entire lineup.

This includes the base i3 models and up to the i9 CPUs, so if you wanted to build a budget PC that can also perform multitasking well, then this could be worth looking forward to. Typically, better multitasking tends to be limited to Intel’s higher-end CPUs like the i7 and above, but since not everyone has the need for such a powerful CPU, sometimes they might opt for the i3 or i5 at the expense of certain features.

There is still no word on when these CPUs will be announced, but we imagine that the announcement should not be too far off. Maybe we might hear more at CES 2020, so stay tuned and check back with us next week for more updates.
