A good majority of our computer monitors are using LCD panels, although there are some that rely on LEDs and some that use mini LEDs. If you’re looking for a mini LED monitor, then Dell might have you covered as the company has since announced the Dell UltraSharp 32 HDR PremierColor Monitor.
This is a display that features the use of a 2,000 array of mini LEDs. To give you some context, this is a lot higher than what some other displays are offering in the market today, like the ASUS ProArt PA32UCX-PK which uses a 1,152-zone array. In fact, Dell claims that this is the world’s first professional monitor to feature a 2,000-zone array mini LED display.
The display itself features a 4K resolution and also has 99.8% DCI-P3 and 93% Adobe RGB color gamut coverage, making it an ideal monitor for creative professionals who might be able to appreciate and utilize the color accuracy. Dell claims that the display has been factory calibrated, but it also comes with a colorimeter from Calman built into it in case you need to make further adjustments.
That being said, given that this is a monitor aimed at professionals, it does not come cheap with a price tag of $5,000, so obviously this isn’t really designed for regular home users who are looking for a 4K display. The Dell UltraSharp 32 HDR PremierColor Monitor is expected to go on sale on the 5th of November.
