If you wanted to take a scrolling screenshot of a website on your iPhone, you would need to either use Safari, which supports scrolling screenshot, or use a third-party app. If you are a Chrome user on iOS, you might have been left out of this, but the good news is that Google has updated its Chrome browser with support for the feature.
According to the changelog in the update, Google says, “You can now take a screenshot of a whole webpage. After you have taken an initial screenshot, look for the “Full Page” option at the top of the screenshot editor.” We’ve tried this ourselves and it doesn’t seem like the feature is enabled for us yet, but we imagine that it should eventually roll out to users, so don’t fret if you don’t see it yet.
Scrolling screenshots are a pretty useful feature because it lets you capture websites and text messages in its entirety. This is versus more traditional screenshot techniques where you would have to take screenshots separately and then manually stitch them together.
In addition to Chrome being updated with support for full page screenshots, the update has also added security features to Incognito Mode where it will prompt users for Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode entry. There is also a new Discover design in the New Tab page, along with various other stability and performance improvements.
